Speed Logic works on mobile phones, tablets, car units and other devices running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and higher and supports Android 8.1 Oreo as well.
Application supports external Bluetooth GPS/GLONASS receivers such as Racelogic VBox Sport, Qstarz, Garmin, GlobalSat and similar devices based on NMEA 0183 standart. You can also connect Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ELM327 OBD adapters or use USB GPS/GLONASS receivers via OTG cable such as Ublox 6x/7x/8x series, FTDI and Prolific GPS receivers.
In case your external device not supported yet feel free to contact us and we will try to add it in next app releases.
When using external Bluetooth GPS receiver be sure that it already paired with your Android device.
Speed Logic does not require an Internet connection for measurements.
It allows you to monitor vehicle speed without looking up from the road. Speedometer is projecting onto the windshield of the car.
All you need is to fix device tightly and point it to windshield. This option will work fine only at night. You can use portrait and landscape screen modes.
First choose a preferred checkpoints. Tab on Options in menu. Acceleration to 100 km/h is checked by default. You can set up a custom checkpoint as well.
Next select Races or Races Pro in main menu. Fix your device tightly and try to establish as much satellite connections as you can. For good results we recommend to use at least 8 satellites. Make sure that during the race you do not create interference to other vehicles and objects.
Once you are ready tab on Start race. Speed Logic will be waiting until your vehicle starts moving. App can detect start by accelerometer or speed. We recomend turn off the accelerometer in Options when you are using external Bluetooth or USB receiver.
When the race starts you will hear three short beeps and time will run on display. Every checkpoint will be marked with three beeps as well. When all speed and distance checkpoints are passed your race is considered to be finished. Your results will be saved automatically to Race history.
You can choose preferred temperature, time and distance units. Speed Logic can display results in kilometers, US or nautical miles, knots, Celsius, Fahrenheit and 12/24 hours formats.
